If you want to raise corn and milo, hunt pheasants and coyotes you should own a Shelbourne header. Studies show that year after year the Shelbourne header leaves more straw to help save more moisture so you can raise more bushels the following year. Another benefit of the stripper header is the ability to harvest lodged and hailed crops quicker with a far greater crop recovery rate. Green, high moisture and weed infested crops can be harvested very efficiently as very little of the sapping green material enters the combine.
Shelbourne has introduced the new Excel stripper header with new features including a spring loaded pivoting adapter plate system. When it’s coupled to the spring loaded gauge wheels it enables the wider headers to follow ground contours. The new heads are available in three widths, 32’, 36’ and 42’ with either a fixed speed belt drive (XSD) or variable speed belt drive (XVS). The variable speed belt drive allows the operator to change the rotor speed by using a cab mounted monitor. The fixed speed belt drive now incorporates a positively driven timing belt for simple high power transmission. These machines incorporate three stripping rotor’s with two equally spaced division plates which means the rotors are shorter and are able to run smoother with greater reliability. Improved ground following capability along with additional width have led to reports of work rates of over 40 acres/hour.
Whether you are running a CaseIH, John Deere or different brand of combine the Excel range stripper header can be fitted to your combine by using an interchangeable adapter plate system.
